What is plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the use of words, phrases and ideas that come from another author and representing the information, facts and statistics as if they were your own words. To avoid plagiarizing someone else's work, you must clearly cite the source of any information that you are presenting in your own work. If you are using the exact words of others, then you must use quotation marks to mark the passage as well as cite the true author of those words.

What work must be cited?
Any body of work that was not created by yourself must be cited. This includes not only written words, but images, music and other media.

What sources must be cited and how do I do that?
All sources that are not your own must be cited. This includes both published and unpublished works. Published works may include sources such as books, magazines, web sites, movies, textbooks and images. Unpublished works can include primary sources, handouts and information from speeches.
